Micro Star International (MSI) announced the opening of its exclusive brand-shop at Kottayam. The store offers a wide range of netbooks from MSI’s ultraportable series and notebooks from stylish X-Slim, Classic, Entertainment and Gaming series.
At the MSI exclusive brand-shop, consumers will be able to browse and access detailed product literature, while trained personnel will be on hand to explain product features and help customers derive an “MSI experience” before making their purchase decision. Moreover, customers will be able to customize the looks and configuration of their preferred model through a menu of options before placing their order. “Kerala is a very important market for us in India. The exclusive MSI store is a step towards enhancing the overall purchase experience for consumers. With this new outlet, we offer our customers the touch and feel for MSI branded netbooks and notebooks within a unique shopping experience,” said Tony Yang, Managing Director of MSI India.
As an introductory offer, freebies like Notebook bag-pack, optical mouse, keyboards etc would be given on every sale at the new store through the month of March.
MSI India is on a major expansion drive to enhance direct brand visibility and reach to customers, as part of its focus on the retail market. The Company had recently opened their first exclusive brand shop in Bangalore and also announced the setting up of its first branded retail access point within a store, in the Nehru Place market, Delhi’s IT trade hub. In another development, MSI had tied-up with some large format retailers (LFRs). According to Tony Yang, “Since a large chunk of consumers still prefer to buy the notebooks from small to medium size outlets, we are adopting this strategy of opening new storefronts in locations that are already known IT centres or prominently located.” The Kottayam exclusive MSI branded store is located in Pulimootil Arcade, K.K Road, Kanjikuzhy Kottayam, in the heart of the city.
Kottayam is a one of the emerging IT city in Kerala where demand for notebooks is mounting day by day. To tap the market, MSI has launched its network of exclusive brand-shops starting from the city. The opening of the outlet reiterates the company's commitment to the Indian market as it increases the available formats for consumers in the country. Customers already have the option to buy MSI models through MSI’s direct phone-based sales teams, and through large retail chains like Croma, Big Bazaar and Reliance Digital.
MSI plans to open around 80 exclusive brand-shops in metros across the country within this year.
